2009-2010 Budget
The State of Nebraska has five fund types in which the budget is appropriated.
General Fund- Used for activities funded by general tax dollars, primarily sales and income taxes.
Cash Fund- Used to account for the revenues and expenditures that are related to activities with sources outside state government, such as account interest. Some funds in agencies such as Aeronautics and Roads are expended through the cash fund and then reimbursed by the Federal Government.
